I enjoy working within self-imposed design constraints and attempted to make a pair of table lamps using just a single length of wood.
Moon Song came about after several permutations and combinations of how I could best utilize that one piece of wood with no wastage and no additions. I chose an angled form for the base, which called for some experimental joinery.
The unconventional dome-shaped shade casts a diffused light that is easy on the eyes yet bright enough to read by, making this a great pair of bedside lamps. The wood is hand sanded and protected with an eco-friendly, water-based wood finish.
