Upcycled Bottle Lamps
I enjoy rummaging through junk shops for unusual old glass bottles and jars that I can upcycle to make lamps. I like the combination of wood, glass and fabric, and I have tried to combine these three in different ways such as filling glass jars with wood shavings, or using wood shavings on the outside of the bottle and so on.
Here are a few of the lamps that I have made so far. This collection will keep growing and changing depending on the bottles that I am able to find from time-to-time.

THE LIGHT WITHIN (current range) – a series of table lamps made with upcycled amber glass jars filled with light, delicate wood shavings, and lamp shades made using traditional hand block-printed and handloom fabric in silk and cotton.
Handmade Lanterns
I wanted to experiment with unconventional ways of making fabric lanterns without a metal frame and PVC/styrene sheet on the inside. I like using natural, handwoven or hand-printed fabric and in this collection I have used wooden embroidery rings to fashion the frame. These are all approximately 12-13 inches tall, and the shape may be either oval, triangular, square or cylindrical depending on the embroidery rings used for the frame.

Note:
– Not having a PVC/Styrene sheet on the inside makes these lanterns more eco-friendly, but also lighter in weight and a little more delicate, but certainly not as delicate as paper lanterns.
– With each lantern you also get a ceiling hanging kit, complete with a wire, bulb and the required hardware.
